The Chateau at Fayet was built during the Renaissance for the Castelnau family, Henry IV once stayed there.

Camarés, known as the heart of the 'Rougier'. The town is divided into an upper and a lower town. The upper remains the heart of the old town whilst the lower incorporates most of the local businesses including the closest supermarket, several bars and restaurants, chemist, newsagents, Post Office, bank with a cash dispensing machine, doctors, cinema and you can buy locally produced products such as biscuits. The 'Plan D'eau' situated off the main road is the local swimming and activities centre especially suitable for families with younger children.

The Cistercian Abbey of Sylvanes
The Abbey was founded in the XII Century and is now numbered among the great rural cultural meeting places of the world. It's historic architectural heritage, now renovated, the Abbey is particularly renowned for it's cultural and spiritual activities. International Music Festival (July-August). International Centre for Research, training, publishing and recording in the service of liturgy and sacred music. Multi-disciplinary cultural centre.

  
The Historic town of Saint Affrique
Towards 470AD, it provided shelter to Affricanus Bishop of Comminges, who fled from harassment by the Visigoths. In 1238 as a tribute the town was christened Saint Affrique. In 1320 the town was jointly owned by the King of France and the Bishop of Vabres and the Count of Caylus. During the 100 Years War, from 1361 to 1368, the English authorities occupied the town as a Protestant stronghold. In 1632 Cardinal Richelieu ordered the town's battlements dismantled. This town has all the retail outlets associated with a thriving regional town including a large street market every Saturday, and some excellent restaurants. It also has the local hospital with an accident and emergency unit.

Saint-Jean D'Alcas
An unspoilt fortified XV Century village. This medieval village came back to life through an outstanding restoration programme that won it the Golden Tower Trophy in 1988.

  
The village of Roquefort                  
Where the famous cheese is made. Situated in the heart of the Regional Park of the 'Grande Causses', the Roquefort village has developed on the craggy slopes of the Combalou Plateau and is now an emblematic site of international renown. Tours guiding you through the cheese making process are available and most are free and offered in several languages.

  
Millau
Famous for its glove making traditions is situated in a deep gorge at the confluence of two rivers, offers rapid river rafting, paragliding and rock climbing for both the novice and experienced participant. The slopes of the plateau are very impressive, as is the new viaduct opened in December 2004 to bypass the town for tourists using the A75 to reach the Mediterranean coast. The structure was designed by Sir Norman Foster, a British architect, and built by the renowned engineers of the Eiffel group.

The Velo Rail du Larzac at Sainte-Eulalie de Cernon
